My Story

Frontier Veterinary Physiotherapy was started in 2022 by Emma after she graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in BSc Hons Veterinary Physiotherapy. As part of her degree, Emma had to complete a year of placement within the industry, including both equine and canine centres. Emma was lucky enough to go to Germany for six months, where she completed an equine placement in a busy orthopaedic hospital. Upon returning to the UK, Emma completed a four month placement in a popular canine rehabilitation centre including hydrotherapy, and was able to shadow a veterinary physiotherapist which introduced her to other techniques such as osteopathy, which she may pursue in the future. Emma found that she had a keen interest in neurological care after her experiences, and she tackled the topic for her dissertation, looking at treatment methods and opinions on care between veterinary physiotherapists and veterinary surgeons, to see what areas of treatment could be improved upon.

Outside of work, Emma is often found outdoors as she is a keen camper and archer. If she is not found exploring the local woodland, Emma is curled up inside watching a movie or playing a game with her cat, Apollo, on her lap. Emma is very friendly and willing to help out, so please contact her using her details below if you have any questions.
